These soils are naturally more fertile and contain higher mineral contents than other soils throughout the state.  The nutrient rich, black dirt supports a strong base of native browse and high quality food plots which provide a nutrient rich foundation for our wildlife.  It is no secret that hunters from all around the country come to hunt the Alabama Black Belt due to its ability to produce trophy class native whitetail deer along with an abundance of other wildlife species thriving in the region.  Old Town Creek Farm’s combination of nutrient rich soils, diverse quality habitat, and wildlife management first mentality, has created the perfect combination yielding excellent wildlife numbers and exceptional trophy class native whitetail deer for the region.

Old Town Creek Farm is one of the premiere, native whitetail deer hunting locations in Alabama.  We boast some of the largest and most unique native deer Alabama has to offer.  The property to be hunted consists of 1,000 contiguous high fenced acres located in the heart of the Black Belt region of Alabama.  We have worked hard and eliminated the invasive wild hog population and our wildlife and especially whitetail deer have thrived exponentially with the decrease in competition for resources. We pride ourselves on our 100% native deer population with no introduced genetics or breeding operation.  Our deer are wild and behave as native wary wild deer.  Our nutritional program coupled with an aggressive management approach allows our property to sustain a higher carrying capacity and further allows our deer to reach their maximum growth potential at the time of harvest.  While hunting with us you will have the ability to hunt one of our 40 stand locations including lock-ons, ladder stands, shooting houses, and ground blinds located strategically around the farm overlooking various food plots, oak bottoms, bedding areas, and travel corridors.
